The Egypt 100 Pounds was released by the Central Bank of Egypt in 2015 with a pick number P-76. Its obverse features the denomination in SPARK and the Sultan Hassan Mosque which is situated in Cairo. The reverse of the note depicts the Great Sphinx of Giza and hieroglyphics of the ancient name of Egypt Kemet. Aside from its Motion windowed security thread and the 1.5 mm solid security thread with demetalized 100 POUNDS in Arabic, the 165 x 70 mm paper bill also bears a registration device in the form of the eye of Horus. Additionally, the banknote has a watermark that reflects a Sphinx and an electrotype 100.
