This 20 Egyptian pound note was introduced in 1980. Its obverse side features the Alabaster Mosque, also known as the Muhammad Ali Pasha Mosque, in Cairo. Its reverse side contains the bas relief carvings that depict the coronation of a pharaoh from the Chapel of Sesostris I in the Karnak Temple, a hieroglyph of Rameses II on a chariot, and stylized papyrus flowers. The note has a solid security thread, a watermark of the mask of King Tut-Ankh-Amon, and dimensions of 155 mm by 70 mm. This note is in uncirculated condition and TAP Authenticated by Banknote World experts.
