Egypt 20 Pounds Banknote, 2016, P-74a, UNC, TAP 60-70 Authenticated

The Egypt 20 Pounds banknote is part of the 2016 series. The obverse side of the note shows the Great Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha or the Alabaster Mosque in Cairo and the Eye of Horus as the registration device. The reverse side depicts Ramesses II with bow and arrow in a war chariot and the bas relief carvings from the Chapel of Sesostris I at Karnak temple, showing coronation of a pharaoh, inauguration of temple building, and pharaoh with offering table. It also shows a stylized papyrus flowers and the Eye of Horus. The security features of the note include a 1.5-mm wide solid security thread with demetalized denomination in Arabic, a 4-mm wide windowed thread at left with demetalized 20 and Twenty Pounds in Arabic, and coat of arms. It measures 155 x 70 with a Princess Nofret watermark and electrotype 20. This particular Egypt 20 Pounds paper bill has been TAP authenticated and is in uncirculated condition.
