The Egypt 5 Pounds Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Egypt in 2013 as a replacement banknote with the prefix 700. The note has a color combination of slate blue, green, yellow, and orange. Its obverse features the Ahmad ibn Tulun mosque in Cairo. The reverse features bas-relief scenes of agriculture, the Nile god holding an offering table with lotus and papyrus flowers, and fishing, from the Ptolemaic temple. The note has a 3-mm wide windowed thread with a demetallized 5 and FIVE POUNDS in Arabic. It also bears a registration device that shows the Eye of Horus, and a watermark that reveals King Tuthmosis and an electrotype 5. The note is 145 x 70 mm in size and is signed by Hisham Ramez Abdel Hafez. This replacement banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
