This 5 Egyptian pound note is dated 2019 and signed by A. Zendo. It has slate blue, green, yellow, and orange colors and dimensions of 145 mm x 70 mm. Its obverse side features the Ahmad Ibn Tulun Mosque in Cairo. Its reverse side features the following artwork from the Ptolemaic Temple: the bas relief scenes of agriculture, fishing, and the Nile god offering table with lotus and papyrus flowers. Security features of the note include an Eye of Horus registration device, a solid security thread with demetalized denomination in Arabic, a 4-mm wide windowed security thread with demetalized 5, five pounds in Arabic, and the Egyptian coat of arms.
