The Egypt 5 Pound banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Egypt in 2020 with hints of slate blue, green, yellow, and orange. Its obverse features the Ahmad Ibn Tulun Mosque in Cairo. The reverse depicts bas relief agricultural scenes of the Nile god holding an offering table with lotus and papyrus flowers, and fishing. The note comes with a solid security thread with a demetallized denomination in Arabic, a 4-mm wide windowed security thread with demetallized 5, Five Pounds in Arabic, and the national emblem. Its watermark consists of an image of King Tuthmosis and an electrotype 5. The banknote also has a registration device in the form of the Eye of Horus. The paper bill is 145 x 70 mm in size and is in uncirculated condition. It also carries the prefix 492 and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
