The Egypt 5 Pound Silver Coin was issued by the Arab Republic of Egypt in 1989 to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Inter-Parliamentary Union. Its obverse bears the denomination and the dates. The reverse of the coin depicts a globe in a wreath of olive branches. Above it is a house-shaped design with dates and below is the roof part of the Parliament building. The coin is made of .720 silver and weighs 17.5 grams. It has a diameter of 37.2 mm. This particular commemorative coin is in extremely fine condition.
