The Egypt 5 Pound Silver Coin was introduced by the Arab Republic of Egypt in 1989 to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the School of Agriculture of the University of Cairo. Its obverse features a wreath of grain sprigs and Arabic inscriptions that include the state name. The reverse of the coin depicts three farmers plowing a field with two oxen with the university building in the background. It also features an escutcheon. The coin is composed of .720 silver and weighs 17.5 grams. It has a diameter of 37 mm. This particular commemorative coin is in extremely fine condition.
