This 5 Egyptian pound coin was issued in 1992 (AH 1413) to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Dar Al Hilal Publishing House. It is a non-circulating commemorative coin that is in extremely fine condition. Its obverse side shows the denomination, state name, and dates in Arabic text, and the Dar Al-Hilal logo in a vase. Its reverse side features Taha Hussein, one of the pioneers of the Egyptian Renaissance and the modernist movement in the Middle East and North Africa. The coin is made of silver, weighs 17.5 g, and has a diameter of 37.2 mm.
