The Egypt 5 Pound Silver Coin was released by the Arab Republic of Egypt in 1995 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Arab League, a regional organization of 22 states in Northern Africa and in the Arabian Peninsula. Its obverse features the dates in Western and Arabic within a circle. The reverse of the coin depicts the Arab League headquarters buildings in Cairo. It also shows the league’s emblem. The coin is made of .720 silver and weighs 17.5 grams. It has a diameter of 37.2 mm. This commemorative coin is in extremely fine condition.
