This Egypt 50 Piastres Banknote was introduced by the Central Bank of Egypt in 1985 and bears the signature of Central Bank Governor Aly Mohamed Negm. It has pink, orange, and green colors and dimensions of 135 mm x 70 mm. Its front side showcases the Al-Azhar Mosque in Cairo. Its reverse side features a carving of Rameses II in battle, the name of Rameses II on a cartouche, stylized papyrus flowers, the prow of a reed boat, and the granite statue of Rameses II holding a heka (crook) from the Museo Eglizio in Turin. The note has a solid security thread and a watermark of the mask of King Tut-Ankh-Amon. This Egypt 50 Piastres Banknote has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70 and is in uncirculated condition.
