The Egypt 50 Piastres Banknote was released by the Central Bank of Egypt in 2017. The banknote comes in a color combination of green, purple, yellow, and orange. Featured on its obverse is the Al-Azhar Mosque situated in Cairo. The reverse of the paper bill depicts a carving of Ramesses II in a battle, papyrus flowers, and a granite statue of Ramesses II holding a crook (heka) as shown in the Museo Egizio in Turin, Italy. It also reflects a prow of a reed boat and the name of Ramesses II in a cartouche. The paper bill does not have a security thread, however, it has a watermark that reveals the mask of King Tut-Ankh Amon and a registration device in the form of the denomination. The note is 135 x 70 mm in size. It bears the prefix #330 and is in uncirculated condition. Additionally, it has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
