The Egypt 50 Piastres Banknote is from the 2017 series which features Al-Azhar mosque in Cairo, one of the countrys earliest mosques, on the obverse side. The reverse side shows a carving of Ramesses II in battle, as well as a granite statue of him holding a crook or heka, an ancient Egyptian symbol of leadership and pharaonic dominion. The banknote measures 135 x 70 mm and has shades of green, purple, yellow, and orange.
