The Egypt 50 Piastre banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Egypt in 2017 with a color combination of green, purple, yellow, and orange. Its obverse design depicts the Al-Azhar mosque in Cairo. The reverse side of the banknote features a carving of Ramesses II in a battle, stylized papyrus flowers, a granite statue of Ramesses II holding a crook as shown in Museo Egizio in Turin, Italy, a prow of a reed boat, and the name of Ramesses II in a cartouche. The banknote is 135 x 70 mm in size and bears a watermark that reflects the mask of King Tut-Ankh-Amon. This paper bill is in uncirculated condition.
