This uncirculated 1 Ethiopian birr banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the National Bank of Ethiopia. It is a black banknote that is dated EE 1998/AD 2006, bears the signature of Teklewold Atnafu, and measures 135 mm x 60 mm. Its obverse side features a map of Ethiopia, a lion head, a young boy, and Abigar cattle. Its reverse side depicts two white-throated bee-eater birds and a view o the Tis Isat (smoking fire) waterfalls on the Blue Nile. The banknote does not have a security thread or a watermark.
