The European Union - Austria 500 Euro banknote is part of the family of notes issued in 2002. This 160 x 82 mm paper banknote is in uncirculated condition. It has a prefix N, making it easier to identify its issuing country - Austria. The front of the banknote is a 20th century architecture. It also displays the European Union flag on its upper left. The top portion of its reverse is a cable-stay bridge and on the lower right part is a map. The European Union 500 euro banknote has a holographic patch and a solid security thread with demetalized 500 EURO. Signed by the former European Central Bank President Willem Duisenberg, the banknote has an image of a door and an electrotype 500 as its watermark.
