The European Union 5 Euro banknote released in 2013 is part of the first issue of the Europa series. Featured on the notes obverse are the European Union flag and classical architecture. On the reverse of the gray paper bill are a bridge and a map. The banknote bears a holographic stripe, a solid security thread with a demetalized 5 EURO, and a watermark that reflects the head of Europa and an electrotype 5. Printed by Banca d’Italia in Italy, this note has a prefix S and is signed by Mario Draghi. The note is 120 x 62 mm in size and has been given a grade of 68 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
