The Fiji 1 Dollar banknote was issued by the Reserve Bank of Fiji in 1980. This specimen banknote bears a SPECIMEN in red overprint. Its obverse features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, shells, tools, local artifacts in underprint, and the national emblem. On the reverse are a domodomo and shoppers in the outdoor produce market at Suva with cars and an ocean liner in the background. The security features of the banknote include a solid security thread, a domodomo registration device, and a Fijian head watermark. It measures 156 x 67 mm and is signed by H.J Tomkins and David John Barnes. This particular Fiji 1 Dollar specimen banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
