The 1 Dollar Fijian banknote from 1983 is part of the 1982-1983 series. The note comes in a limited-edition piece that is marked with the word "SPECIMEN" in red overprint. Its obverse side features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the national emblem, a domodomo as registration device, shells, tools, and local artifacts in underprint. Its reverse side features a domodomo and shoppers in an outdoor produce market at Suva with cars and ocean liner in the background. The banknote's security features include a solid security thread and a Fijian head watermark. The note is 156 x 67 mm in size.
