This 1943 penny coin from Fiji is in mint condition. Because of the war, the US mint took over production of the Fijian penny and used brass instead of a copper-nickel alloy. Like its earlier design, the coin has a hole in the middle, bears the name of King George VI and his crown on one side, and the denomination, date, and country on the other side. The coin weighs 6.5 g and has a diameter of 26 mm.
