This extremely fine Fijian shilling is made of a copper-nickel alloy. The obverse side shows an engraving of Queen Elizabeth II by Cecil Thomas. The reverse side of the coin shows the value, the year, and a traditional Fijian sailboat by Percy Metcalfe. The coin weighs 5.6 g and has a diameter of 23.5 mm.
