This uncirculated 2,000 Fijian dollar note commemorate Fiji as the first country in the world to see the new millennium and the last to see the sunset of the old millennium. It is dated 2000 and signed by Reserve Bank Governor Ratu Jone Kubuabola. Its obverse side contains the Kulawai (red-throated lorikeet Vini amabilis) bird, a domodomo, a portrait of H.E. Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara, flowers, an embossed patch, the national emblem, and a horizontal blue print that says “COMMEMORATING THE YEAR 2000 WHERE THE MILLENNIUM BEGINS” and y2k overprints. Its reverse side shows the map of Fiji and the 180 degree meridian, the Earth with the sun behind, sea shells, and corals. Security features include a windowed security thread and a Fijian head watermark. Its dimensions are 200 mm x 100 mm.
