This uncirculated 2 Fijian dollar banknote was introduced by the Central Monetary Authority of Fiji in 1983 and signed by David John Barnes and Savenaca Siwatibau. It has green, yellow, and light blue colors and dimensions of 156 mm x 67 mm. Its obverse side contains English text, the coat of arms of Fiji, a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, and an underprint with shells, tools, and artifacts. Its reverse side portrays the sugarcane industry with two farmers harvesting sugarcanes and a train loaded with sugarcanes. Security features of the note include a domodomo (canoe masthead) registration device, a solid security thread, and a Fijian head watermark.
