Reviews:

The 2 Dollar Fijian banknote from 2000 was issued to commemorate Fiji as the first country in the world to see the new millennium and the last to see the sunset of the old millennium. Its obverse side features Fijian first President Ratu Sir Penaia Ganilau, a Kaka bird perched on a branch, a domodomo as registration device, a silver metallic ornament, and the national emblem. On the reverse are the map of Fiji Islands, the 180 meridian with a rising sun, a man with a beard wearing a turban beside a young boy and girl and an infant, a man blowing into a conch shell, and a woman wearing a straw hat, a sea turtle, sailing boat in an island, a domodomo, and flowers. The note is 156 x 67 mm in size and contains a Fijian head watermark and a Windowed security thread to enhance its security features.
