The Fiji 2 Dollars Banknote was issued by the Reserve Bank of Fiji in 2000. The specimen banknote bears a red SPECIMEN overprint on its obverse and reverse. Its obverse side features a portrait of Fijian first President Ratu Sir Penaia Ganilau, a Kaka bird perched on a branch, a silver metallic ornament, and the national emblem. On the reverse are the map of Fiji Islands, the 180 meridian with a rising sun, a man with a beard wearing a turban beside a young boy and girl and an infant, a man blowing into a conch shell, and a woman wearing a straw hat, a sea turtle, sailing boat in an island, a domodomo, and flowers. The banknote is 156 x 67 mm in size and contains a Fijian’s head watermark, a windowed security thread, and a domodomo registration device. This Fiji 2 Dollar specimen banknote has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70 and is in uncirculated condition.
