The Fiji 20 Dollar banknote from 1971 is part of the 1969 - 1971 Decimalized series. Its obverse side features the Coat of Arms of Fiji and a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Regalia of Order of the Garter uniform painted by Italian artist Pietro Annigoni. Its reverse side features the denomination in the center with a rosette and geometric patterns in the background. The note has a dimension of 159 x 76 mm and contains a Fijian head watermark and a solid security thread to enhance its security features. The banknote was signed by the chairman of the currency board, Wesley Barrett.
