The Fiji 5 Dollar specimen banknote from 1980 ND features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The front and back design of the note are marked with the word "SPECIMEN" in red overprint. Also added on the obverse side is the national emblem, Her Majesty the Queen, a canoe masthead as a registration device, shells, tools, and artifacts in underprint. On the reverse are a group of men in the water holding a circular net, a sailboat, fish, and a catamaran boat. The banknote is 156 x 67 mm in size and is equipped with a solid security thread and a Fijian head watermark to enhance its security features.
