The 5 Dollar Fijian banknote from 1995 is part of the 1995 - 1996 series. This replacement banknote has a 6-digit serial number and a 1-letter prefix that starts with Z. Its front design depicts a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, a Bunedamu bird perched on a branch, a domodomo as registration device, a silver metallic ornament, and the Coat of Arms of Fiji. On the reverse is the Nadi International Airport (NAN) with baggage carts and other maintenance vehicles servicing four passenger planes. Also added to the back design are flowers, a domodomo, and the catamaran ferry. The note measures 156 x 67 mm and contains a Fijian head watermark and a solid security thread as part of its security features.
