The Fiji 5 Dollar banknote was issued by the Reserve Bank of Fiji in 1998. The specimen banknote bears a red SPECIMEN overprint on its obverse and reverse. Its obverse side features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, a Bunedamu bird perched on a branch, a silver metallic ornament, and the national emblem. On the reverse is the Nadi International Airport with baggage carts and other maintenance vehicles servicing four passenger planes in the center and the catamaran ferry, domodomo, and flowers on the lower right. The note is 156 x 67 mm in size and contains a Fijian head watermark and a windowed security thread.
