The Fiji 5 Dollar banknote is part of the family of notes issued in 2013 highlighting Fijian flora and fauna. This particular 20-piece uncut sheet of banknotes is in uncirculated condition and in 4 x 5 arrangement. Its obverse side features a red-throated lorikeet bird or kulawai perched on a tree branch and the national emblem. Another notable element on the obverse is the Kato ni Masima salt basket. It also bears a canoe masthead called domodomo as its registration device. The reverse of the banknote depicts a Fijian crested iguana known as Brachylophus vitiensis, a balaka palm tree, a masiratu flower which is called Degeneria vitiensis, and the seal of the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic. The 136 x 67 mm polymer banknote has a shadow image of a Fijian head as its watermark.
