This used 50 Fijian cent note is part of the first decimalized banknotes introduced by the Government of Fiji in 1969 and signed by Harry Parker Ritchie and David John Barnes. It has green, light blue, and pink colors and dimensions of 159 mm x 66 mm. Its front side features Queen Elizabeth II in the regalia of the Order of the Garter and the coat of arms. The reverse side shows an aerial view of a thatched hut near the harbor with the mountains in the background. Security features of the note include a solid security thread and a Fijian head watermark. This note was withdrawn from circulation in 1976.
