The Fiji 50 Dollar banknote was issued by the Reserve Bank of Fiji in 1996. The specimen banknote bears a red SPECIMEN overprint on its obverse and reverse. Its obverse side features a portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, a flying Kacau bird, a domodomo as a registration device, flowers, and the Coat of Arms of Fiji. The reverse side features soldiers with rifles at the flag-raising ceremony, a Cession Stone with a plaque on Ovalau, and six seated men signing the deed of cession on the table in 1874. A domodomo and flowers are also printed on the lower right. The banknote is 156 x 67 mm in size and bears a Fijian head watermark and a windowed security thread. This particular 50 Dollar Fijian specimen banknote has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70 and is in uncirculated condition.
