The Fiji 50 Dollar banknote was issued by the Reserve Bank of Fiji in 2002. Its obverse features Queen Elizabeth II, a flying Kacau bird, and flowers. The reverse depicts soldiers with rifles at the flag-raising ceremony, a Cession Stone with a plaque on Ovalau, six seated men signing the deed of cession in 1874, a domodomo, and flowers. It contains a Fijian’s head watermark, a windowed security thread with demetalized RBF and domodomo, and a registration device in the form of a domodomo. The note is 156 x 67 mm in size and is signed by Savenaca Narube. It is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
