This clear box contains one bronze prutah coin that was struck between 135 and 40 BCE. It was one of the first coins struck and circulated by the Jewish people. Its obverse side shows two cornucopia flanking a pomegranate. Its reverse side shows the name of John Hyrcanus I in Hebrew. The diameter of the coin ranges from 12 mm to 14.5 mm. Its weight ranges from 1.7 g to 2.4 g. The box also comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
