This used 200 French franc banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of France in 1995. It is a purple, orange, and red banknote that bear the signatures of Didier Bruneel, Jean Bonnardin, and Yves Barroux, and measures 143 mm x 80 mm. Its obverse side shows the portrait of French builder Gustave Eiffel, a stylized representation of the Eiffel Tower, and the Garabit viaduct. Its reverse side depicts a view of the Eiffel Tower and the Champ-de-Mars during the 1889 Universal Exhibition and the dome of Palais des Beaux-Arts. Security features include a segmented foil strip, a solid security thread, and a watermark of Gustav Eiffel. The note was demonetized in 2012.
