This 200 Francs Banknote was released by the Bank of France in 1996. The obverse side of the note depicts a portrait of famous French builder Gustave Eiffel in front of the Garabit Viaduct and a colorful abstract frame of the Eiffel Tower. The reverse side features the base of the Eiffel tower with a view of the Champ-de-Mars during the Universal Exhibition of 1889. The note measures 143 x 80 mm and contains a watermark image of Gustave Eiffel. It also has a simulated windowed security thread and a solid security thread.
