The Gambia 5 Dalasis Banknote was issued by the Central bank of the Gambia in 1996. The banknote is predominantly red and bears Arabic and English texts. Its obverse features a Gambian girl and a giant kingfisher bird in flight and perched on a tree. It also shows monkeys, trees, and boats in the underprint. The reverse depicts a man with cattle in a field with palm trees. The note contains a solid security thread with printed THE GAMBIA and a watermark that reveals a crocodile’s head. It is 132 x 69 mm in size and is signed by Momodou Clarke Bajo and Junkung A. Bayo. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60 to 70.
