The Georgian 1 Lari banknote from 1995 is part of the 1993 - 1995 series. It was designed by Nodar Malazonia and measures 115 x 61 mm. Its obverse side features a carving of grapevines from Samtavisi Cathedral, a Borjgali as the symbol of the sun and tree of life, and a portrait of Georgian painter Niko Pirosmanashvili. At the back is a panorama view of Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, and a stag from Pirosmanis painting, Roe Deer with a landscape in the background. The note is equipped with a solid security thread and a watermark image of a Borjgali and tree of life pattern to enhance its security features.
