The Georgian 100 Lari banknote from the 2014 series was issued with improved security features. Its 140 x 67 mm in size and is equipped with a windowed security thread with demetalized LARI, and a Shota Rustaveli watermark with electrotype 100 GEL to enhance the banknote's security. Printed on its obverse side are two angels holding a cross, a Borjgali, the symbol of the sun and tree of life, and a portrait of Georgian poet Shota Rustaveli. On the reverse is a VII-century bas-relief of the biblical story Daniel in the Den of Lions from Martvili Cathedral of Assumption of the Virgin Mary.
