Georgia 50,000 Kuponi Banknote, 1994, P-48, UNC

The Georgian 50,000 Kuponi banknote the 1994 coupon series has a dimension of 115 x 55 mm. Its beautifully colored in green and tan and was designed by Nodar and Bachana Malazonia. Printed on its obverse side is a carving of a griffin from the Samtavisi Cathedral flanking a Borjgali, the symbol of the sun and tree of life, and a vertical gray stripe at the right edge of the watermark area. The reverse side features a detailed carving of a grapevine from the Samtavisi Cathedral. The note does not contain any security threads however a parallelogram watermark pattern is added to the note to enhance its security features.
