This used 20 German Mark note is a State Loan Note issued by the Imperial Debt Office. It is a red and brown note that is dated 20 February 1918, bear the signatures of v. Bischoffshausen, Vieregge, Muller, Noell, Dickhuth, Sprenger, Lothar, V. Drenkmann, and Muckle, and measures 140 mm x 90 mm. Its obverse side features the heads of Pallas and Mercury and Reichsschuldenverwaltung seals. Its reverse side depicts a standing knight, an imperial eagle, and an allegorical woman with a wheat and palm frond. Though the note does not have a security thread, it has a watermark with the denomination. Because it is a used banknote, it may have minor tearing, folding, and/or ink stains.
