Germany 5 Mark banknote from 1917 has a pick number P-56, is in used (C) condition, and features a woman.


This used 5 Mark Germany note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Imperial Debt Office. It is a purple and green note that is dated 1917, bear the signatures of V. Bischoffshausen, Vieregge, Muller Noelle, Dickhuth, V. Drenkmann, Sprenger and Lothar, and measures 125 x 80 mm. Its obverse side features an imperial eagle, the head of a young woman facing front with flowers in hair. Its reverse side shows two blue Reichsschuldenverwaltung seals and an imperial crown with oak leaves. Though there is no security thread, there is still a watermark of 5 pattern. This note was withdrawn on 29 April 1924.
