Germany 50 Mark Banknote from 1920 with pick number P-68a.1 is in Used condition and features the allegorical woman Autumn.


The Germany 50 Mark Banknote is part of the 1919-1924 Hyperinflation notes issued by the Imperial Bank in 1920. The green banknote bears German text on both sides. Its obverse depicts an imperial eagle, two brown Reichbank seals, the allegorical woman Autumn with roses in her hair, holding flowers and a fruit. The reverse depicts a bearded farmer wearing a hat, sharpening a scythe and a builder shouldering a sledge hammer with smokestacks in the background. The note does not contain a security thread but bears a watermark that reveals the number 50 in guilloches. It is printed by Reichssdruckerei and is 150 x 100. It is signed by Havenstein and von Glasenapp, Schneider, Schmiedicke, von Lumm, von Grimm, Kauffmann, Budczies, Bernhard, Seiffert, Vocke, and Friedrich. This particular banknote is in used condition.
