The Germany Federal Republic 1,000 Deutsche Mark, issued in 1993, is a reddish-brown banknote that measures 178 x 83 mm. The obverse side bears the portraits of 19th century folklore collectors Wilhelm and Jacob Grimm along with buildings in Kassel and an outline of the letter A. Meanwhile, the reverse side shows the Deutsches Worterbuch, the German dictionary, and beneath it is the definition of Freiheit, which means freedo. The Royal Library building in Berlin can also be seen in the background. Grading company Paper Money Guaranty (PMG) gives this banknote a grade of 66.
