This uncirculated note is a replacement for a 10 Deutsche Mark note that is dated 01 October 1993 and signed by Hans Tietmeyer and Johann Wilhelm Gaddum. It is a purple note that measures 130 mm x 65 mm. Its obverse side honors the mathematician Carl Friedrich Gauss with his portrait, the Gaussian distribution curve, and a view of Goettingen. Its reverse side features the Deutsche Bundesbank logo, a heliotrope, and the triangulation network. Security features include a serial number, a windowed security thread with a demetallized 10 DM, and a watermark of Carl Friedrich Gauss with the number 10.
