This 5 Deutsche Mark from the Federal Republic of Germany is dated 2 January 1980 and signed by Karl Otto Pohl and Helmut Schlesinger. It is a green note that measures 120 mm x 60 mm. Its obverse side features the painting “Young Venitian Woman” by Albrecht Durer. Its reverse side shows the German Central Bank logo, oak leaves, and acorns. Security features include a solid security thread and a watermark of the Young Venitian Woman. It is also a superb gem uncirculated note that qualified for Paper Money Guaranty’s Exceptional Paper Quality, experienced very minor handling, and has slightly off-center margins and registration. Thus, it is graded 68 by the Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
