This uncirculated 5 Ghanaian cedi banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of Ghana. It is a blue banknote that is dated 04 March 2019, bears the signature of Governor Ernest Addison, and measures 141 mm x 68 mm. Its obverse side shows a star, the Freedom and Justice Arch in Independence Square, the national coat of arms, and portraits of the “Big Six” leaders in Ghana: Kwame Nkrumah, Ebenezer Ako Adjei, Edward Akufo-Addo, Joseph Boakye Danquah, Emmanuel Odarkwei Obetsebi-Lamptey, and William Ofori Atta. Its reverse side depicts gold bars, a sculpture, the University of Ghana tower, the Department of Economics building, and the Balme Library. Security features include a RAPID windowed security thread with a demetalized star and 5, and a watermark of Tetteh Quarshie, a cocoa pod, an electrotype 5, and Cornerstones.
