This uncirculated 50 Ghanaian cedi banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of Ghana. It is a brown banknote that is dated 1st July 2016, bears the signature of Abdul-Nashiru Issahaku, and measures 153 mm x 77 mm. Its obverse side features a stack of nine gold bars, a star, the Freedom and Justice Arch in Independence Square, the national coat of arms, a green-to-blue cocoa pod SPARK feature, and a portrait of the “Big Six”: Kwame Nkrumah, Ebenezer Ako Adjel, Edward Akufo-Addo, Joseph Boakye Danquah, Emmanuel Odarkwei Obetsebi-Lamptey, and William Ofori Atta. Its reverse side depicts the Christiansborg Castle (seat of government) and gold bars. Security features include a red-to-green windowed security thread with a demetalized GHANA 50 and a watermark of Tetteh Quarshie, a cocoa pod, an electrotype 50, and Cornerstones.
