The Gibraltar 10 Pounds Banknote was issued by the Government of Gibraltar in 2006. It has a color combination of red, brown, and violet. The obverse of the paper bill displays a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the Trinity House lighthouse on Europa Point, a Khoeler Gun, a tree, the ER initials, and the coat of arms of Gibraltar depicting a castle with a key. The reverse features General Eliott, rifles, and the painting by John Trumbull “The Sortie Made by the Garrison of Gibraltar” illustrating Spanish and English forces and General Eliott with officers attending to the dying Don Jose de Barboza during The Great Seige from 1779-83. The banknote contains a windowed security thread and a watermark that reveals Queen Elizabeth II. The paper bill is 141 x 75 mm in size and is in uncirculated condition. Additionally, it has been TAP authenticated.
