This Gibraltar 100 Pound banknote from 2011 bears a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the front design. Alongside the Queen's portrait is a crenelated castle tower as a registration device and the Coat of Arms of Gibraltar. The reverse side features a crenelated castle tower and the Kings Bastion, it was built in 1773 and played a major defensive role during the Great Siege of Gibraltar. The note measures 163 x 90 mm and is equipped with an optiks security thread and a watermark image of Queen Elizabeth II, electrotype 100, and cornerstones as part of its security features.
